STEP
5: COMPLETION
When the client and developer are absolutely satisfied and
excited about the completed website, its time to present
it to the public for its inaugural cruise. The implementation
stage includes posting the website, submitting to search engines,
and analyzing initial traffic. The primary publishing of the
website does not guarantee flocks of potential patrons will
swarm to see the new site posting is only half the
battle. Its up to the developer to help get the word
out about this new presence on the Internet. The website should
be pitched to the to the target audience through means of
search engine registration, Internet advertising, and link
partnerships. The client also sets to work with traditional
marketing strategies, newspaper ads, radio spots etc., that
include the new website address.
The final phase of website development is, of course, the
party! If the preceding steps are adhered to, the result should
be an effective, successful website. After all of that exhausting
planning and designing, a good developer knows when its
time to break open the champagne and celebrate a job well
done! |
