Bottle design for Derelict Airship Distillery’s premier Absinthe expression, Emerald Absinthe, sold under their Violet Crown Spirits brand. Co-founder Jessica came to us with the idea of incorporating imagery of the mythological figure Artemis (also known as Diana, Goddess of the Hunt) as Artemis is the scientific namesake (Artemisia absinthium) of wormwood, one of the traditional ingredients used in distilling absinthe. We took her direction and created an art deco style illustration based on sculptures from the era paired with a repeating pattern motif of the anise flower. The resulting screen printed bottle looks clean and elegant, making a unique statement on the shelf or behind the bar.
